THE IDEA

Designing the connection.

A base geometry developed in Rhino is translated into preserved regions, boundary conditions and optimisation rules in nTop. The resulting morphology brings structural logic into the visible form of the component.

A QUESTION TO START WITH

What if the smallest part defined the whole system?

Red lines converging on an optimised metal node
03From boundary conditions to a family of geometries.

Different joint typologies respond to different assemblies. Solid and porous regions explore a more precise distribution of material, while DMLS provides a manufacturing route for the complex geometry.
